Dear Parents and Guardians,
By now you are most likely aware of Governor Little’s proclamation made this past Monday on moving the State of Idaho from Stage 4 back to Stage 3 of the Idaho Rebounds plan. At this time this does not change what we are already doing educationally for our children. We will continue providing our “Hybrid” model and following our AA/BB schedule for the moment. If you would like to read the Governor’s proclamation, please click on the link provided.
Although the move back to Stage 3 does not affect our district educationally, it will have an effect on us athletically and facility-wise. Under Stage 3, “Indoor gatherings of more than 50 people, both public and private, are prohibited. Indoor gatherings of 50 or fewer people must adhere to the Physical Distancing and Sanitation Requirements in Section 3 of this Order.”
In a nutshell, this means that we will be limiting all our winter athletic events and contests (Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Wrestling games and matches) to 50 or less spectators at each event. Only Home spectators will be present at games or matches. Visiting spectators will not be allowed to attend. This goes into effect immediately, starting today, and will continue until the Governor moves us back into Stage 4.
Below, I have provided information that all Region II school districts are providing for their gym sites as guidelines for admission for their Winter events. Please take the time to read these carefully and understand who will be allowed to attend ballgames and wrestling matches in the months to come.
If you have questions or need further information, please contact me in the District Office @ (208) 875-0327. Thank you.
Jeffrey A. Cirka, Superintendent
